I predict the whole new year resolution thing will soon be in effect. Matter of a fact I’ll go on a limb and say it will happen in just over a month. Mark my words.

At K-fx2 we got pitched what I think is a great task. The owner gave us two of our larger clients and asked us to brainstorm some ideas and services that we can provide them to improve their business. I can’t divulge what two clients they are but let’s just say one has the initials L-S-U and the other is a nation-wide roadhouse from Texas.

Now the details of this task aside, this sort of thing is what I love about K-fx2 - we aren’t some small web firm working on mom and pop sites and haggling over crap all day - we’re getting to do some huge things and totally innovate. All the guys and gals that work there are the best at what they do and it shows in the quality of work they do and the freedom in which they are allowed to do their work. Now that our biggest competitor in Baton Rouge is calling it quits we are really starting to ramp up our services even more. Great things are ahead.

On a personal side I’m scraping together a few resolutions of my own. For once in my life I feel like my spiritual life is doing awesome and that my physical self is at an all time high as well. That’s two major things outta the way.

This holiday vacation I’ve got a few things I want to hit - the first is hanging with the wife - there can never be enough of that. Secondly I am definately starting down the path of learning how PHP frameworks operate. The two I’ll be working with are Symfony and WaSP. Thirdly I want to hit up on some stock market stuff. Stocks have always fasinated me and now I have the time and wherewithal to pursue them. Lastly I want to be sure to make some time to pwn n00bs on Halo. That is always a good thing!!!

EDIT: It is meant to be that I start learning Symfony - check out what they are doing this holiday season. They are definately working the “easy to use” angle mentioned below.
