Well the end is near - I pre-ordered a shiny, new Nintendo DS Lite from EBgames. It’ll be something to do in my spare time (hahaha).
Speaking of spare time, this weekend will be a crazy busy one, but it will be all worth it to get to Monday - my holy grail of a “not doin’ nothin” day. Today we’ve got our second meeting of the “Geek Roundtable” and immediately after that Glenda and I have a ballgame. Sunday I’ll be staking out the back foyer at Main Campus and that afternoon I’ve got some web work I need to finish up.
Lastly I guess I’ll wrap up and say that one of the larger accomplishments this week was setting up a (hopefully) high-performance, kick butt e-mail cluster. I’ll be installing it at NTG this week and doing some hammering on it shortly thereafter before we slam it into production. Software for the cluster includes OS: CentOS, SMTP: Qmail, Load Balance/Failover: Balance, Graphing/Monitoring: Cacti/MRTG/SNMP, HTTP: Lighttpd, Security: IPtables, Logwatch. It’ll be a pretty stout setup I’m sure… and when we need more capacity we’ve just got to plug more servers into the cluster… ![]()

OK I pre-ordered one too (june 11!), but I’m about to take a massive road trip…
so I went and bought a used normal DS for the trip. New SMB and Brain Age both are AWESOME.
I want to get metroid next. We’ll play online (yeah like you’ll ever get on.)
Ha - I got Mario Kart and Brain Age - Metroid is fun as well. Looking for a good “Red Alert” style game - there are two out there - Age of Empires and some anime looking one…
advance wars.
it’s amazing- i own the original for GBA.
Just bought metroid today. It’s fun, but my hand HURTS.
I’m loving this DS, man- I might trade in my PSP for more games.
Dang you like Metroid a little too much it sounds like.
Hope your right hand feels better…muhahaha.
ewwwwwww.
i’m bored- let’s hang out some time. and i can get my swag from ya
