Got the balancer in today thanks to Chase and Sam. The install went pretty well - had a couple of snags - literally. The balancer caught on the waterpump pulley and I didn’t realized it until the waterpump shaft had been been bent up a little. All looks well *fingers crossed* however - the waterpump looks a-ok. The stock bolts also weren’t long enough so it took two trips to the hardware store to get the proper ones but it worked out in the end.
On the way back to Autozone to return a rental tool I did a burnout and what was left of my torque convertor finally gave it up - we heard two loud bangs from the tranny and the RPMs redlined.
A few attempted WOT runs on Florida Boulevard just redlined the car without any speed increase. Good ole’ carnage from torque - or maybe that balancer was worth a few hundred horsepower and it killed the tranny - haha. Someone (I’m not naming any names Sam) was able to do a burnout though (above) and finish what I started.
No worries though, the new tranny gets shipped tomorrow and the custom convertor is being built right now. I’ve just gotta get on the stick and order my tranny cooler and fittings and the 14qt of fluid.

Opps, my clutch foot slipped on my brake pedal and my gas pedal was stuck
Opps my gas pedal was stuck and I hit the brakes and well you know
haha I think we need a 350z burnout vid from Chase, whadda ya say?
