Well tonite was our tournament - the payoff for all that practicing. It was also my first tennis competition ever.

Turns out we should not have signed up for the “Novice Plus” category because we rolled through all six games without losing at all. Kirk - because he is the man - even played left handed for most of the matches. It was that sad.

I did have a great time and learned a LOT. I enjoy competitive tennis - I’ll definately be on the lookout for some more tournaments.

Dumbest thing of the night goes to me I’m afraid. Kirk and I were playing two girls about our age. I was playing the net. I did an overhand smash or whatever Kirk calls it and I nailed the girl on the immediate other side of the net.

It wouldn’t have been so bad if I hit her in the foot where I was aiming but sadly I hit her right between the boobs. I don’t think she appreciated it a whole lot.

The second dumbest move came when I decided to spin my tires over a bit in front of a cop. He must have been busy working on a donut or something because he let me go. This is why I don’t street race, if there is a cop around within a 50 mile radius he will be right where I am at the moment I do something dumb.

My new pitman arm came in for the ‘72 Mach 1 today so I may try to press it on the steering gear tomorrow. I’m still waiting on the rag joing to come in, but first I need to get the last half of the old one off so that could be tomorrow’s project as well.

Lastly in car news I’m going to see about getting my front tires mounted up, I’m in sore need of some new fronts.

Oh and really lastly my back has been killing me and I am taking some demerol so that is why I am so talkative on my blog.
