We made it back home around 5 this afternoon - it’s always good to be back at the hizzy! We had an amazing trip - glad we went… it’ll be our last big outing for a while until Kayla is old enough to travel. Next potential targets are Portland/Seattle area and a couples trip to Mexico.

I got some new music while we were in Colorado…

Mos Def came out with a new album - Tru3 Magic. I have to say that I was excited to see this one on allTunes but after giving it a listen I was left wanting… in Mos Def’s previous albums that I have his lyrics were deep and his rapping was very smooth - most definitely a style of his own. This album however seemed a bit shallow and his rhymes a bit generic. I will give it another listen so the final verdict is not yet in.

Jared introduced me to a guy by the name of Damien Rice and I jammed all three of his albums all the way back to Baton Rouge. GREAT music. I really enjoyed his mostly live/acoustic album - B-sides. I have a weakness for live music. Give ole’ Mr. Rice a listen.

Elsewhere on the homefront I am gearing up for Glenda’s baby shower… this week (starting tomorrow) I’ve got a ton of things to do around the house. I also need to work on playing some Zelda… I’m about halfway through that crazy game… loving every minute of it.
