We got to come home today!!!

You know, everyone says “oh your life is forever changed” almost as if to say “boy we’ve been through the ringer and now it’s your turn haha” but thus far things haven’t been drastically different. Life has taken a pleasant turn to the ordinary and normal.

We got home and I mowed the grass and then Mom came by with a power window that was stuck halfway up that needed fixin’. G and I got to watch “The Pursuit of Happyness” and then her parents came over for a visit and we cleaned house and unpacked. Just normal stuff.

So far Kayla has been great - sure we stop when she needs a diaper changed or when she wants to eat, but that is what it’s all about for us now, this is what we’ve been preparing for the last two years… this moment.

You know a funny thing - this past week life has seemed to slow down a lot. I haven’t thought much about anything outside of our family. It’s all about us and the baby now.

Maybe that is the change - it is not so much that your life changes, but YOU change to accomodate the new life you have chosen for yourselves. For Glenda and I it is a natural thing - nothing forced or learned… just a natural progression brought about by the birth of our cute little girl we can’t help but love with all our hearts.
