Cars

Wow… just wow

Boy the mosquitoes around here are THICK. I think it is because the neighbor across the street refuses to cut his back yard. The skeeters are WAY worse over there. I may need to talk with him about it - it is just silly how bad they are.

I got a little progress on the ‘95 today. Didn’t get to drive it this morning because as I was waking up I realized that I didn’t remember tightening down the pullies. So I drove G’s car.

When I got home, G took a nap so me and K hung out all afternoon. Me and K even went outside and tightened the pullies which were evidently already tightened.

Later on I ran to Lowes to get a long metal rod so that I could drive my oil dipstick into the block. G came out to help me with that and that is when the mosquitoes raped me something fierce.

I’ll try to drive the ‘95 tomorrow after work and see if it is still leaking oil. I feel pretty confident that my leakage was coming from the dipstick area but it’s hard to say - oil leaks are a tricky thing.

Everyone keeps asking “when are you gonna belt the supercharger up???”. My answer is “not soon enough”. I have GOT to take care of all this little stuff first, otherwise I will never get to it once the boost is applied! :)

The last things on the list are to replace my engine ground and add a second one, figure out some sorta way to route the crankcase pressure from the oil fill tube back into the blower inlet (will probably run a breather for a while till I do this), ground my oil pressure sender and lastly, bend that dang a/c line out of the way so that I can BELT THE BLOWER UP.

One thing at a time. Luckily I have extra cars so I’m not in a bind to drive the ‘95. As much as I want to be in it, it’ll be worth taking my time to do all this right.

Hopefully I can get on the car again on Thursday night. I need to mow the grass tomorrow and take care of house stuff. Priorities, priorities!
