It’s nice that it is finally cooling off a bit. Nice for a couple of reasons.
Reason #1 is that I don’t feel as inclined to be outside as much. There isn’t much yard work to do (save for raking leaves, of course). This leaves time for other pursuits such as playing the latest Wii game, “Super Mario Galaxy”. It is a lot of fun.
Reason #2 is that cooler weather means faster cars. This is especially true for boosted ones.
My car has seen WOT nearly every day for the past month when it hasn’t been rainy. I’ve also been running my most aggressive tune yet now that it is cold. Traction in first is non-existant past half throttle, and a hit in 2nd will break the drag tires loose as well. Not too shabby for an auto with a 3,000 stall.
I attempted my pulley swap this past weekend but succeeded only in bending my puller. I’ll get a larger puller and re-tackle it some other time. The pulley should get me from 13-14# of boost to somewhere around 17-18#, adding 4-5# across the powerband.
