Had an eventful and not so eventful day at the track today. On my first pass I lifted the driver’s side head but didn’t realize it (apart from slow quartermile time). Made a couple more passes and still slow (12.605, 12.652 & 12.493). I had the Mickey Thompson ET Streets on but wasn’t launching them hard, 1.785 was my best 60ft — I did better on my street tires last time.
So teardown started this afternoon as soon as the car was cooled off. Props to Sam for really helping me out and especially for handling header bolt duty! You da man.
Going back on the car are a new set of aluminum heads, a ported intake and Jet Hot coated longtube exhaust. It should be much quicker than it was before!
Never cry… modify!
