Painting: All Done!
Well I am glad to say that I survived! Above is a picture of my first stab at painting automotive stuff. Looks pretty ok, eh?

Wetsanding (FTW!)
Despite my orangepeely fender, I was able to wetsand it to be very, very smooth. I started with 800 grit since it was rather rough and then went to 1000grit. I will pick up some 2000grit paper soon and then polish it with a rotary to bring back the shine of the clearcoat after the [...]

Painting: Spraying Done… Lessons Learned
Well I am done with the clear. I got massive orange peel this time around. But I’ve figured out why, so on the next go around I’ll go forth with what I’ve learned.

Well I am in the middle of putting down my first couple coats of clearcoat.
